Designated Veterinarian (EU module 24)
Alongside the Education and Training Framework guidance document, the selection of contents and depth in which will be covered for module 24 will also be informed by the ESLAV/ECLAM/LAVA/EVERI recommendations for the roles, responsibilities and training of the laboratory animal veterinarian and the designated veterinarian under Directive 2010/63/EU. In terms of educational approaches, the exploring of real-life scenarios will be of the utmost importance to frame how the covered topics connect to the designated veterinarian’s daily activity in an establishment.
